The following specific criteria and selection process are considered:

Sustainability and Environmental Impact: Consideration of startups that prioritize sustainable practices and demonstrate a commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of the food system. This can include initiatives focused on regenerative agriculture, resource efficiency, waste reduction, carbon footprint reduction, or biodiversity preservation.
Social Impact and Inclusion: Acknowledgment of startups that promote social equity and inclusivity within the agrifood sector. This can involve initiatives that improve food access, address food security challenges, support smallholder farmers, empower local communities, or promote fair trade and ethical sourcing.
Scalability and Market Potential: Assessment of the startup's potential for scalability and market impact. This can include evaluating their growth strategy, market penetration, potential for expansion into new markets, and ability to reach a broad customer base.
Collaboration and Partnerships: Recognition of startups that foster collaboration and partnerships within the agrifood ecosystem.
